Misfits was created in 2022 when founder Joelle Thorne decided to depart from another rescue and branch out on her own. Joelle has a vision, hence the name Misfits. While we do take in healthy unwanted cats and kittens, her true passion is to help the true misfits...the tough cases that most others are afraid to take or ones that will be euthanized. Misfit Felines is a 501c3 non-profit rescue and has over 60 active foster homes that provide wonderful compassionate care for all intakes.
